AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oils resist vaporizing in the high temperatures that vaporize motor oil. High vaporization loss leaves a thicker, higher viscosity Oils than is recommended. The NOACK Volatility Test, which measures the weight loss of oil due to evaporation, shows that most 5W-30 motor oil fail to pass the 13 percent ACEA pass/fail limit. In fact some Oil lose as much as 25 percent of their weight to volatility. AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oil loses only 6.9 percent of its weight. RESISTS OXIDATION AND THERMAL BREAKDOWN

AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oils resist the damaging effects of heat, blow by chemicals and oxidation up to 10 times longer than motor oil. AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oil resists forming varnish deposits and sludge. PROVIDES HIGH SHEAR STABILITY

AMSOIL 5W-30 motor oil surpasses the North American SAE and European ACEA Oils specifications for high temperature/high shear (HTHS) viscosity. It doesn't shear back to a lower viscosity oil at the high temperature/high shear conditions of today's smaller, high RPM auto engines. AMSOIL 5W-30 maintains an extremely protective viscosity of 3.5 cP at 302F (150C) in the ASTM D-4683 High Temperature/High Shear Test, far exceeding test limits of 2.9 cP.

AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oil remains fluid at temperatures as frigid as -60F (-51C). It permits easy engine cranking for fast starts and in sub-zero temperatures flows to all engine parts much faster than motor oil. REDUCES DEPOSIT FORMATION

Because AMSOIL 5W-30 synthetic formulation resists oxidation so well, it runs naturally cleaner than motor oil. MIXING AMSOIL

AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oil is 100% compatible with conventional petroleum Oil; however, mixing AMSOIL 5W-30 motor oil with a conventional Oil will shorten the drain period of AMSOIL 5W-30. Oils additives or after-market products are not recommended for use with AMSOIL 5W-30 Signature Synthetic Oil. AMSOIL Signature Synthetic Oil is fully compatible with conventional motor oils.

For best results, however, use AMSOIL Engine Flush, and then install AMSOIL Signature Synthetic Oil. For maximum engine protection, use an AMSOIL Oils Filter and an AMSOIL Air Filter. Note: Most quick lube service centers will install these products upon request or install them yourself.
