AMSOIL RESISTS HIGH TEMPERATURE VAPORIZATION
AMSOIL 5W-30 synthetic motor oils resist vaporizing in the high temperatures that vaporize motor oil. High vaporization loss leaves a thicker, higher viscosity Oils than is recommended. The NOACK Volatility Test, which measures the weight loss of oil due to evaporation, shows that most 5W-30 motor oil fail to pass the 13 percent ACEA pass/fail limit. In fact some Oil lose as much as 25 percent of their weight to volatility. AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil loses only 6.9 percent of its weight. AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil remains a 5W-30. It provides consistent high temperature protection and reduces Oils consumption and harmful emissions.
AMSOIL RESISTS OXIDATION AND THERMAL BREAKDOWN
AMSOIL 5W-30 synthetic motor oils resist the damaging effects of heat, blow by chemicals and oxidation up to 10 times longer than motor oil. AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil resists forming varnish deposits and sludge. It doesn't thicken like petroleum Oil, but continues to cool and lubricate, providing peak engine performance and extended drain intervals. In addition, the advanced heat transfer capabilities and high lubricity of AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil reduce excessive operating temperatures of engines, transmissions and gear boxes, so they run cooler, cleaner and longer.
AMSOIL PROVIDES HIGH SHEAR STABILITY
AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil surpasses the North American SAE and European ACEA Oils specifications for high temperature/high shear (HTHS) viscosity. It doesn't shear back to a lower viscosity Oils in the high temperature/high shear conditions of today's smaller, high RPM automobile engines. AMSOIL 5W-30 maintains an extremely protective viscosity of 3.5 cP at 302F (150C) in the ASTM D-4683 High Temperature/High Shear Test, far exceeding test limits of 2.9 cP.
AMSOIL PROVIDES LOW TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil remains fluid at temperatures as frigid as -60F (-51C). It permits easy engine cranking for fast starts and in sub-zero temperatures flows to all engine parts much faster than motor oil. The exceptional cold temperature properties of AMSOIL 5W-30 provide immediate cold start lubrication, greatly reducing engine wear and prolonging engine life.
AMSOIL RESISTS DEPOSIT FORMATION
Because AMSOIL 5W-30 synthetic formulation resists oxidation so well, it runs naturally cleaner than motor oil. AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil also contains special detergent/dispersant additives that, when tested after tens of thousands of miles of use in the crankcase, still exhibit outstanding deposit control. This combination of natural detergency and advanced additive package keeps AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil effective for up to 25,000 miles or one year in non-turbocharged gasoline-fueled cars.
AMSOIL Prevents Rust and Corrosion

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL 5W-30 synthetic motor oils is 100% compatible with conventional petroleum Oil; however, mixing AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil with a conventional Oils will shorten the drain period of AMSOIL 5W-30. Oils additives or after-market products are not recommended for use with AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil. AMSOIL synthetic motor oil is fully compatible with conventional motor oils.
For best results, however, use AMSOIL Engine Flush, and then install AMSOIL Synthetic motor oil. For maximum engine protection, use an AMSOIL Oils Filter and an AMSOIL Air Filter. Note: Most quick lube service centers will install these products upon request or install them yourself.
