Q. When I click on the PRICE button what price am I seeing?
A. That is the RETAIL price.
Q. Is there a way to see what I pay as a Preferred customer (wholesale pricing)?
A. Yes, Simply add all the products you want along with the quantity to the shopping cart. When you have everything in the cart you can go to the left menu, look under the Account Information, and select the link that says Preferred Customers Save. You will then have a choice of adding a 6mo or 1yr Preferred Customer membership to the shopping cart. Add your choice to the shopping cart and then select checkout. You will notice that all the products have changed price to the wholesale price so you can really see how much you are saving.
Q. When do I get charged for the products?
A When you go to checkout, establish your account, then complete the order.
Q. Is the shopping cart secure?
A. YES! AMSOIL is very serious regarding customer security and has placed an enormous amount of effort to ensure the customers are protected.
Q. I get lost in the shopping cart, how do I navigate?
A. One of the key buttons for the cart is located in the top right of the page, you will see a picture of a shopping cart, simply click on it and you will be returned to the shopping cart. You can also click on the online store button which takes you to the top level of the online store where you can look to the right and select your product category then drill down.
Q. I clicked on the Preferred Customer Saves button and I got a screen showing Oil Analysis why?
A. What we have found is that you have already added the preferred Customer to the shopping cart. Ignore that screen and click on the shopping basket in the top right and you will be back to a known location.
Q. Can I remove the Preferred Customer package from my order and see the retail price?
A. Yes, click on the shopping cart basket in the top right corner, click remove on the right of the Preferred Customer entry then click on the shopping cart again. The price should now be back to retail
Q. Do I really save any money by becoming a Preferred Customer?
A. The simple answer is if you own more than one vehicle, yes. As an example, if you bought a case of our most popular motor oil as a Preferred Customer you would save over $26.00 off the retail price. Q. Why are AMSOIL synthetic motor oils capable of extended drain intervals?
A. AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are highly resistant to the destructive effects of heat, and do not break down like petroleum oils. This means that AMSOIL synthetic motor oils can provide much longer drain intervals than conventional lubricants. Read more: Why Synthetic Motor Oil
Q. Can AMSOIL synthetic motor oils be used in any engine?
A. Certainly, AMSOIL synthetic motor oils may be used in any mechanically sound gasoline or diesel fueled engine. Basically, that means they are excellent for use in virtually all engines.
Q. Will AMSOIL synthetic motor oils make my engine start leaking oil?
A. If your engine was not leaking before using AMSOIL Synthetics chances are it will continue to be leak free. If there is a sludge problem in the engine a leak may develop due to the outstanding cleaning that the AMSOIL Synthetics accomplish. In many instances the use of AMSOIL synthetic motor oils actually decrease the loss of oil from seals if they were leaking to begin with. .
Q. Are AMSOIL synthetic motor oils compatible with other motor oils?
A. Yes, AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are compatible with all other synthetic or petroleum motor oils.
Q. What is the difference between the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Club and the AMSOIL Dealer program?
A. The preferred Customer Club is for private individuals who want to buy at wholesale prices and are not planning on selling to to others. An AMSOIL Dealer also buys at wholesale prices but is entitled to earn commission credits, sell to others at retail prices, sign up preferred customers, Retail Outlets, and Commercial Accounts thus building an independent AMSOIL business. Q. I have a trucking company and have no interest in selling to others, should I be a Preferred Customer?
A. No, there is a special program for those who qualify as Commercial in which you buy at wholesale just like the preferred customer but you also get volume discounts on larger orders plus you can potentially qualify for 50% off or even FREE shipping. Read more about the Commercial Account Program.
Q. I own a auto parts store, can I sell AMSOIL?

Q. Will using AMSOIL synthetic motor oils increase gas mileage?
A. Tighter government regulations and increases in engine manufacturers’ demands are calling for more fuel efficient lubricants. AMSOIL synthetic motor oils reduces friction and drag better than petroleum oil resulting in significant fuel economy increases. In a recent 1.2 million mile demonstration, AMSOIL Lubricants showed a 4.5% increase in gas mileage. Other tests have shown increases of as much as 15% under certain weather and driving conditions. Yet, because every vehicle is different, as are driving habits and conditions, it is difficult to accurately project an exact increase.
Q. Will AMSOIL synthetic motor oils void the warranty of a new vehicle?
A. Absolutely not! Manufacturers’ warranties are based upon the use of oil meeting specific API service classifications. For example, if a new vehicle calls for a motor oil that meets the SJ/CF service classification then simply use the applicable AMSOIL Synthetic motor oil that meets that classification. AMSOIL Synthetics are perfectly suited for use in any new vehicle without affecting the validity of the new vehicle warranty.
Q. What makes AMSOIL Gear Lube so good?
A. With technology growing at a rapid rate we no longer can simply grab a quart of gear lube and call it good. Manufactures are demanding much more from the gear lube used in their equipment. Q. Do I dare run AMSOIL in my Harley Davidson? Will it void my warranty?
A. Absolutely, AMSOIL's MCV 20W-50 is an excellent motor oil certified for all three compartments. Harley has even sent a letter to AMSOIL stating that the use of AMSOIL will not void their Harley extended warranty.
